A special opportunity for MCF donors
to invest in 10,000 Degrees
Now, through a unique partnership with NPX, a Bay Area firm transforming how nonprofits are funded, 10,000 Degrees aims to help 160 low-income students complete their bachelor's degrees.
And you have the opportunity to help them do so. Via MCF's Venture Impact Program you can INVEST in 10,000 Degrees — deploy your DAF in an impact investment with the opportunity to earn a financial return.
This opportunity is only available until May 31, 2021. If you are interested in participating or want to learn more we encourage you to contact us.

NPX has created a Bay Area Donor Impact Fund which has raised $4.5 million in donations. 10,000 Degrees has been selected as a recipient of a portion of that money IF it can produce specific, measurable outcomes in its work. Helping them hit those outcomes is where you play a role by providing the upfront investment. As funding helps 10,000 Degrees focus on achieving the desired impact, donations are unlocked to pay back your investments, with the possibility of a return. All of which can be redeposited into your fund at MCF for future philanthropic use.
MCF donors Guy Lampard and Suzanne Badenhoop have jumped at the opportunity, and committed $250,000 over a five-year time period.
...this is a great way for us to provide additional support beyond grantmaking.

“We love this opportunity for a couple of reasons. It allows us to put the money that is sitting in our MCF fund to work. It allows us to know exactly the impact of our investment. And importantly, it provides 10,000 Degrees with the peace of mind that they have essential capital that they can leverage without having to engage in nonstop fundraising. The ongoing need to fundraise is such a burden for nonprofits, and this option allows them to focus 100% on creating impact. While we will continue to support them through grants, adding this investment is making us feel even more connected to 10,000 Degrees and more of a partner in its mission!”
