Safia Kryger-Nelson named as Senior Philanthropic Planner at Marin Community Foundation

Kryger-Nelson comes to MCF after a five-year stint as Regional Director, Business Development, at ImpactAssets, a nonprofit financial services firm that increases the flow of capital into investments that deliver financial, social and environmental returns. She was responsible for business development for the western U.S. region.

Prior to that, she worked in Global Institutional Sales and Marketing at Dresdner RCM Global Investors and as a legal translator for the European Court of Justice. Kryger-Nelson has a Bachelor of Arts, Law Degree from the University of Copenhagen, and a Masters in European and International Law from the University of Paris. She also speaks
seven languages. “Safia is going to be a terrific addition to our Philanthropic Planning team”, stated Dr. Tom Peters, President and CEO of MCF. “She brings a wealth of experience in business development and in partnering with professional advisors. Not to mention incredible energy and dynamism.”

She commenced at the Foundation on February 1.
