Affordable Housing & Homelessness

Every person deserves to live in a safe and secure home. But the high cost of housing and limited supply of affordable homes across the U.S., particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area, are forcing many people into unjust housing situations. These circumstances — along with rising property costs, inadequate social support systems, and entrenched economic disparities — are undermining the well-being and stability of our communities.

Addressing the affordable housing shortage is not only a moral imperative but also a critical step in fostering resilient and thriving communities. MCF collaborates with community leaders and experts to identify critical intervention points in the continuum from homelessness to homeownership to ensure that people in our communities have safe, affordable homes, and that anyone who wants to live and work in Marin can do so.
